The Roberts R404 was Introduced in March 1965 at £15-7s-7d  including purchase tax. Today's value is over £280.

This Roberts R404 radio is all in excellent, very clean cosmetic condition. It has been fully checked and serviced and works very well on both wavebands.

The radio is completely original in every respect , and has not been modified or refurbished. Great item for any radio collectors.

I have provided lots of clear close up pictures of the radio in order to see the cosmetic condition in details.
 

The R404 is a 7 Transistor + 3 Diodes radio covering  the Medium and Long Wavebands from an internal ferrite rod aerial. There is an earphone socket and a car aerial socket. 

The radio stands on the usual Roberts turntable base.  

There is a plastic edged leather stitched carry strap and teak wooden ends.

It requires 2 PP9 9Volt batteries (not supplied)
