Vintage 1964 Tandberg TTR Auto
Portable Transistor Radio
13" x 8" x 3.7"
The 1970's TR41 and TR43 Tandberg transistor portable radios are very rare and desirable but the TTR Auto is an extremely rare 1960's model and they are all highly collectible.
This very high quality transistor radio is a 7.5 Volt nine transistor Norwegian portable from the mid 1960's housed in a very well made and attractive walnut wooden cabinet with a strong metal carry handle.
It is a 4 waveband radio covering the MW, LW, SW (5.5-18MHZ) and the VHF FM band.
It has separate rotary bass and treble controls, a 29" telescopic aerial, switchable dial light and a socket for an external or car aerial
This Tandberg TTR Auto is complete and original, it has recently been fully checked
and serviced and is all in remarkable, near mint cosmetic condition, very clean internally and externally.
The wooden cabinet is beautiful with all the correct knobs and push buttons, clean and bright dial.
The original aerial extends smoothly and nicely. The handle is in great condition too.
The battery compartment is absolutely clean without any sign of battery leakage or corrosion and it is complete with a replaced battery tube holder.
As this is a 50 years old and used radio it may have some tiny age related marks.
As usual all my listings are provided with a good range of clear close up photos of the item for sale. Please enlarge them in order to see the cosmetic condition in detail.
This TTR Auto is also in excellent working order on all wavebands with great reception and sound quality from a very large 8" x 3.5" elliptical speaker.
The controls work perfectly without any crackles. The dial light works correctly when the light button is pressed.
The TTR Auto requires 5 x 1.5Volt 'D' size cells batteries (not supplied)
The radio comes complete with a copy of the 14 pages Service Manual and a brochure.
