EARLY VERSION ROBERTS R200 PORTABLE TRANSISTOR RADIO

This is a rare early version R200 receiver with the circular IF cans and OCXX transistors (much more reliable than the later AF117's !!!)
It was introduced in February 1960 at £14. 6s. 0d plus PT including battery.
The Roberts R200 covers the Medium and Long Wavebands, has slow motion tuning and it is in perfect working order on both wavebands.
The radio has been fully checked, cleaned internally & externally and fully serviced and It looks great.
This R200 early vintage radio set even more than 55 years old is all complete and original.
The navy blue leathercloth covering is in great condition with no rips or tears, the battery box is clean with no sign of spills, all the fittings are bright, all unreliable components have been replaced,
the original knobs are complete with polished brass inserts,
the gold coloured grille is clean and dent free.
It is rare to find another good example of this even more rare version of the Roberts R200.
This radio is more than 55 years old and is all complete and in very good cosmetic condition and working order and is a great example for any serious radio collector or vintage admirer.

The radio stands on the usual Roberts turntable base for the best reception.
