This very popular DAC.10 in my opinion is one of the most beautiful looking vintage bakelite valve radios, there is style and class in it and of course it is a great example of the British radio history.
It is a simply 'must have' radio for a serious vintage radio collectors or for anyone who loves the beauty and the style, the simplicity and deep sound of the valve radios - just plug your radio in to the mains, wait about 40 seconds for the valves to warm up and then tune in to your favourite station.
The DAC.10 has press-button tuning for 3 pre-set stations (2 on MW and 1 for LW) and press- button wave changing. It also has manual tuning for Medium and Long wavebands. It is housed in a beautiful brown bakelite cabinet with a cream surround to the press buttons and tuning scale.
This DAC10 radio is original and complete, it has been fully checked, serviced and polished and is working very well on both wavebands.
As you can see from the good range of photos provided the whole set is in excellent clean condition externally and internally.
Considering that it is more than 65 years old I can honestly classify this radio as being in remarkable condition - The highly polished Bakelite case with a deep glossy patterned finished is in immaculate condition.
The beautiful colourful dial markings are clean and unscratched and both pilot lights are working. There are some minor cracks on the white surround but you have to look carefully to see them.
The correct knobs and push buttons are present too.
I am providing a good range of clear close up photos of the radio.
Please enlarge them in order to see the cosmetic condition in detail and assess for yourself.
The DAC10 works direct from the mains - the mains lead is intact with the radio.
Because of the delicate nature of valve radios, I prefer this radio to be collected in person but will be happy to pack safely and send it via 24h. courier.
