The Ever Ready 'C' is a Four Valve , Two Waveband(Long & Medium) portable superhet receiver originally built for dry-battery operation.
This radio considering its age is in great cosmetic condition with clear dial, all original knobs, handle, grill, etc. Of course considering that this is a nearly 70 years old used radio there are some age related marks which can be seen on the photos but the radio is working very well on both wavebands.
This is an original and complete valve radio and it would be a lovely addition to any vintage radio collection.
I have provided lots of clear close up photos of the radio. Please enlarge them to see the cosmetic condition in detail.
(It has been in recent use with an Amplion "Convette" HT/LT battery eliminator)
It is housed in a wooden case with a clear perspex carry handle and has an internal wound frame aerial around the case and is authentic and complete with all of its original components.
Valves used: DK32, DF33, DAC32, DL35.
The correct batteries for this radio are no longer available and it can only be used with a suitable 90 volt HT plus 1.5 volt LT power supply or battery eliminator.
A copy of the Trader Service Data Sheet is also provided with the radio.
