+ Copies of Roberts Technical Data and the Trader Service Sheet
SERIAL NUMBER - 1284
The R66 was introduced in April 1956 at £13. 19s. 9d. + PT.
The R66 is a 4 valve 2 waveband radio covering the medium and long wavebands from an internal ferrite rod aerial and featuring slow motion tuning.
The radio is housed in a very strong Cream leather covered wooden case with a leather carry handle.
This is a rare Roberts valve radio in lovely cream colour which is looking really beautiful. It is a complete and original item with bright and clean dial, correct knobs which are in excellent condition, and original leather carry handle. It has a rotating turntable disc on the base. The R66 is a nearly 60 years old radio and theafore you can expect some age related signs of use but in general the whole radio is in great cosmetic condition and working well on both wavebands with scratch free controls.
I have provided a good range of clear close up photos of the radio which you can enlarge in order to see the cosmetic condition in detail.
This radio requires a 90volt HT and a 1.5volt LT supply or will work Directly from the mains from a built-in mains lead.
Due to the delicate nature of these old rare valve sets collection is preferred but postage is also offered.
