Introduced in 1971 at £16.85 including purchase tax (Today's value £275)
The RIC-2 was introduced by Roberts as an improved version of the RIC-1- their first integrated circuit radio.
It is a two wavebands radio covering the Medium and Long Wavebands with an internal ferrite rod aerial.
The radio is housed in a very strong wooden case complete with a leather stitched carry handle.
There is an earphone socket and a socket for an external or car aerial.
It also has a rotary tone control for excellent sound from the elliptical loudspeaker.
The radio stands on the usual Roberts turntable base.
This classic Roberts radio is complete and original and it is in excellent cosmetic condition. It is very clean internally and externally. The mustard leather cover is in perfect unmarked condition. This is an over 40 years old radio set and therefore it is normal to have some signs of use.
As usual my listings are provided with lots of clear close up photos of the item for sale, which you can enlarge in order to see the cosmetic condition in detail and assess for yourself.
This RIC2 has been recently fully cleaned , checked and serviced and works very well on both wavebands with smooth and scratch free controls and sounds wonderful.
It requires a 9 Volt battery (not supplied)
