Roberts R66 Portable Battery/Mains Valve Radio
+ A copy the Trader Service Sheet
SERIAL NUMBER - 17003
The R66 was introduced in April 1956 at £13. 19s. 9d. + PT. (which is around £400 today!)
The R66 is a 4 valve 2 waveband radio covering the medium and long wavebands from an internal ferrite rod aerial and featuring slow motion tuning.
The radio is housed in a very strong green covered wooden case with a leather carry handle.
This is a rare Roberts 1950's valve radio in dark green colour, complete and original item with bright and clean dial, correct knobs which are in excellent condition, the original enameled Roberts badge and a leather carry strap (it's complete but with some wear)
It has a rotating turntable disc on the base.
The Roberts R66 is a nearly 60 years old radio and therefore you can expect some age related signs of use but in general the whole radio is in very good cosmetic condition.
This radio has been fully cleaned, checked and serviced and works very well on both wavebands with scratch free controls.
I have provided a good range of clear close up photos of the radio which you can enlarge in order to see the cosmetic condition in detail.
This R66 requires a 90volt HT and a 1.5volt LT supply or will work Directly from the mains from a built-in mains lead.
