Vintage 1940's Roberts 'Junior' Portable All Dry Battery Valve Radio

The Junior was introduced in April 1949 at £14. 14s. (today's value £485)
It is a 4 valve 2 waveband radio covering the medium and long wavebands from a frame aerial in the case and featuring slow motion tuning.
This radio is housed in a Green leather covered wooden case with a strong carry handle.
This radio has been fully checked, cleaned and serviced and is in great vintage cosmetic condition and working well on both wavebands with scratch free controls.
It is original and complete in every respect. As this is a more than 65 years old radio some signs of use and imperfections are normal and to be expected.
The radio has been tested using an Amplion Convette battery eliminator.

The Roberts Junior requires a 90volt HT and a 1.5volt LT battery or suitable battery eliminator (Neither supplied)
Due to the delicate nature of these old rare valve sets collection is preferred, but postage, packing and insurance could be arranged in UK for £11.80.
