Portable AM/FM Transistor Radio

The Aviemore is a three waveband portable radio covering the Medium, Long and VHF/FM wavebands. 

It is a 12 transistor radio with the circuitry assembled on sub panels. A DIN socket is provided for the connection of a tape recorder and there is a socket for the connection of headphones. 

AM reception is from an internal ferrite rod aerial and there is a 28 inch telescopic aerial for FM.

Wavebands are selected by push buttons and there is a push button tone control

This Aviemore  is housed in a beautiful burgundy leather covered wooden cabinet with a strong metal carry handle.

The whole radio is in excellent, near mint condition internally and externally and is working very well on all wavebands with smooth and scratch free controls and selector buttons. It has a beautiful clear sound from its large loudspeaker.

I have provided a good range of clear close up photos of the radio. Please enlarge them in order to see the cosmetic condition in detail.

This radio is a fine example  for any serious transistor radio collector and for anyone who loves the great sound and performance of Hackers. 

The radio comes complete with colour copies of owners instructions, promotional flyer etc.

The radio requires a 9Volt battery (not supplied)
