1970's Hacker Ranger RP70 Transistor Radio
10" x 6" x 3"
The Hacker RP70 Ranger was produced in 1975 and is a 9 transistor MW/LW portable radio using silicon transistors throughout to give 800mW of audio output.
A separate oscillator transistor and ceramic I.F filter are used.
The medium wave coverage is from 520-1620 KHz (577-185 Metres) and the long wave coverage is from 153-278KHz (1960-1080 Metres).
Reception is from an 8" ferrite rod.
The Ranger RP70 is one of the very last Hacker radios (1975) and it is in the typical Hacker classic stylish design.
The wooden cabinet has solid teak ends and is trimmed in classic black leathercloth fabric. It has a strong all metal carry handle.
This Hacker Ranger is all complete and original and in excellent cosmetic condition. It is also very clean internally and externally.
This radio has been fully checked cleaned and serviced and is working perfectly on both wavebands and has the typical clear Hacker sound.
It is a great radio for radio collectors or anyone who likes the beautiful classic designed radios and the great Hacker sound.
I have provided a good range of clear close up photos of the radio in order to see the cosmetic condition in detail.
The Hacker Ranger runs on one 9Volt PP9 battery (not supplied)
