The RP17 Mini Herald is a MW/LW Hacker from 1962 when it was introduced at £18 7s 6d including purchase tax which value today is equal to £396.35 !!!
This Mini Herald looks stunning, it is completely original in every respect and has not been modified in any way.
As is usual with Hackers, it has a separate audio module which still gives great quality sound from the 6" X 4" elliptical loudspeaker.
There is an 8" internal ferrite rod aerial with provision to plug in an external or car aerial. A personal headphone socket is also provided.
The radio is housed in a strong wooden cabinet with front and rear panels covered in bright red coloured leathercloth and the sides and base are covered in light grey leathercloth. It has a strong red stitched leather carry strap.
The control knob caps, dial markings and grille etc. are gold coloured and look great.
This 50 years old Mini Herald Radio is all original and it is in absolutely excellent, near mint cosmetic condition considering its age- with no scratches, rips or tears or missing components. Its very clean externally and internally. The gold coloured fittings are bright and clean. The original knobs and push buttons are in excellent condition. As this is a 50 years old radio it is normal to have some small age related marks or imperfections. i
I have provided lots of clear close up photos in order to see the cosmetic condition in detail.

The radio has been fully checked and serviced and is working very well on both wavebands with scratch free controls and has the usual geat quility Hacker sound.
It requires two PP7 9Volt batteries (not supplied)
