Vintage Hacker Sovereign II RP25

The RP25 Sovereign II is an improved version of the earlier Sovereign RP18.
It is a Long, Medium and VHF/FM transistor radio from the late 1960's through to the mid 1970's
It is a 15 transistor plus 7 diode radio with inter station muting on the FM band.
A separate audio module gives an output of 1.5W at a high level of audio quality from a large 8" X 5" elliptical loudspeaker.
There are also separate variable bass and treble controls.
It is a dual circuit radio with separate tuners and IF circuits for AM and FM.
The RP25 has an External aerial socket for car use. Normal reception is from a 10" internal ferrite rod for AM and there is a 32" telescopic aerial for FM.
It has an auxiliary output socket for tape recording and an amplifier input socket for gram pick-up and a personal earphone socket.
The Hacker Sovereign II is housed in a strong leathercloth covered wooden case with metal carry handle and stands on a ball bearing turntable base. The Sovereign ll was produced mainly in charcoal black, ambassador blue and rarely some in white.
This one is covered with charcoal black leathercloth.
It is an great example of the stunning Hacker RP25 model.
The radio has recently been fully checked & serviced and cleaned internally and externally and is in excellent cosmetic condition and works perfectly on all wavebands with high sensitivity and sound quality. As this is a more than 45 years old radio some light age related imperfections is normal and to be expected but never the less this is a geat looking radio.
This is an Original and complete Hacker Sovereign II RP25. It is an amazing item for any serious radio collector or anyone who needs a quality radio to own and listen to.
I have provided a good range of clear close up photos of the radio in order to see the cosmetic condition in detail.
The Hacker Sovereign II RP25 requires two 9Volt PP9 batteries (not supplied)
