Teak Wooden Cased Hacker Windsor RM79
Transistor Mains Table Top Radio
Dimentions: 20.5 x 5.5 x 6.7"/520 x 140x170mm
The Windsor RM79 is one of the very last models Hacker produced before
the factory was closed in 1980.
It is a table model of the RP79 Consort.
It is a mains only radio receiver covering the:
Medium Waveband from 525 1630 kHz,
Long Waveband from 150 - 265 kHz and
VHF from 87.5 - 104.5 MHz.
Waveband selection is by push buttons. Medium and Long wave reception is from an internal ferrite rod and there is an internal FM aerial which may be unplugged for using an external aerial in poor reception areas.
This attractive design radio is housed in a strong solid teak cabinet with two 4" loudspeakers and is in remarkable condition. It is just right for any one who needs a good quality radio for everyday use and is a very rare opportunity for the radio collectors.
It has separate rotary bass and treble tone controls.
This Radio has been fully checked, cleaned and serviced and is all in excellent condition, very clean externally and internally.
The teak wooden cabinet is in beautiful condition, nicely polished . It is all complete and original.
I have provided lots of clear close up photos of the radio.
It works very well on all 3 wavebands and has a very strong and clear sound. It comes complete with its own mains lead and plug.
