Roberts RCS80 was introduced in 1987.

This fine example of the very high class radio sets has a wonderful sound quality from a large speaker housed in a wooden cabinet which is covered in a burgundy leathercloth.

It has teak wooden ends and a strong metal carry handle.  

The RCS80 has separate base and treble controls, a headphone socket, a 5 pin DIN socket and a 75ohm external FM aerial socket. 

This nearly 40 years classic radio is all in excellent cosmetic condition considering its age (please click on pics to enlarge and see the cosmetic condition in detail) and is in very good working order.

I have provided lots of clear close up photos of the radio. Please enlarge them in order to see the cosmetic condition in detail.

All controls are present and working fine.

The aerial is straight and fully extendable.  

The RCS80 covers the Long and Medium wavebands plus the full FM band from 88 to 108 Mhz.

There is a telescopic aerial for FM reception and an internal ferrite rod for AM.

It has frequency and clock LCD displays with a switchable back-light. It also has an alarm clock with a 'sleep' and 'snooze' facility and 8 FM plus 8 AM stations can be stored in the pre-set memory from auto or manual search.

The RCS80 works from the mains  or 6 x C batteries (not supplied).
