The Solid State-5 is a nice looking mains or batteries radio. It is housed in a black leather case and it has a strong leather covered metal carry handle.
It has a 6 section telescopic aerial for FM reception, which in this radio is straight and fully extendable. It is a two wavebands radio covering the Medium and the Full FM from 88 to 108 Mhz
There is an earphone socket and a socket for an external or car aerial.
There is a leather stitched carry strap and teak wooden ends.
The radio has been checked, cleaned and fully serviced and is all in excellent, near mint cosmetic condition internally and externally - The leathercloth cover cabinet is clean and in great condition without any flaws, scuffs or scratches, the tuning dial is clean & bright, the original knobs are in excellent condition and the carry strap is intact.
A complete and original radio and a rare example for radio collectors or anyone who needs a nice compact radio to listen to.

This radio works very well on both wavebands with smooth and scratch free controls and has a very nice sound.
It works directly from the mains or from a 4 x 1,5 Volt 'C' cells (not supplied)
