Vega VEF-206 Portable Transistor Radio

Introduced in 1975 

 The VEF 206 was manufactured in Riga, Latvia. It is a battery operated 10 transistor radio.

It covers the Medium, Long + 6 Short Wavebands

It has a telescopic aerial for SW reception and an internal ferrite rod for the medium and long wavebands. Waveband selection is by a very robust turret tuner

There are also headphone and external aerial sockets plus a 5 pin DIN socket for tape recorder etc. 

This radio is housed in a very shiny plastic black cabinet and has a strong carry handle.

It has a rotary tone control for superb sound from the large internal speaker

This VEGA VEF-206 Radio is all original and  in excellent cosmetic condition. The cabinet  is in beautiful and very clean condition with no cracks or chips, complete with nice strong handle. All the knobs are present and in excellent condition too. The grill is clean with a few tiny dents which can only be seen from certain angles. This is a 40 years old radio therefore its normal to have some age related marks. The original aerial is straight and fully extendable.

The radio has been fully checked, cleaned and serviced and works well on all wavebands and sounds great. 

The controls are smooth and scratch free.

This is a genuine completely original VEGA VEF-206 radio.

The radio works on either 6 'D' size batteries or an external 9 volt power supply (neither supplied with the radio)
